Wakatipu Reforestation Trust presents an evening of films and Q and A, as part of the 50th Celebration of Conservation Week.

Featuring "Fools and Dreamers: Regenerating a Native Forest", a documentary by Happening Films, alongside local Glenorchy film "Restoration Revelled", followed by a Q and A. The theme to inspire and educate on what is possible for native regeneration on any piece of land - perhaps even yours.

> Fools & Dreamers is a 30 minute documentary telling the story of Hinewai Nature Reserve, on Canterbury’s Banks Peninsula, and its kaitiaki/manager of 32 years, renowned botanist Hugh Wilson. We learn about the commitment of Hugh, and the Maurice White Native Forest Trust to regenerate marginal, hilly farmland into native forest, using a minimal interference method that allows nature to do the work, giving life to over 1500 hectares of native forest, waterways, and the creatures that live within them.

> Restoration Revelled is a 15 minute film & talk about a similar project closer to home at Glenorchy. Both, although with different approaches are an inspiring example of what private land owners can achieve.

Doors open at 7pm, Films start at 7.30pm, and Q and A from 8.20pm. This is a free, ticketed event with seats limited to 70 people, so please reserve your seat.
