City Of Souls, New Zealand’s six-piece premier alternative-progressive outfit, have just signed internationally to Australian record label Wild Thing Records, as well as UK/EU bookings to Artery Global. They recently released their very first taste of new music - with their new single ‘Wolf’, and its stellar accompanying music video.
Armed with lush soundscapes that are deep on emotion, but filled to the brim with hooks, City Of Souls are truly captivating. City of Souls will be touring this July in support of their forthcoming new single and music video, ‘Ferryman’.
Joining City of Souls on their Australasian tour (on selected dates) are fellow Wild Thing powerhouses Circles (AUS & NZ) and Ebonivory (AUS Only), plus Seas Of Conflict (NZ Only).
2018 was a watershed year for Circles, releasing their masterpiece album The Last One through Wild Thing Records in Australia and New Zealand and Season Of Mist internationally.
Louder said that The Last One was "...very much in a similar fashion to countrymen Karnivool, Circles have crafted a modern progressive tapestry with plenty of wider appeal thanks to songwriting nous coupled with their apparent technicality."
They then joined TesseracT on their Australian Tour in September as special guests. Soon after, Circles jetted off on their momentous return to Europe, touring across the continent with fellow Australian progressive rock trailblazers Caligula’s Horse between October-November, while also appearing at prominent festivals ProgPower Europe and Euroblast.
Upon their return to Australia, they dazzled audiences on tour with Dead Letter Circus in December, before mesmerising PROGFEST in January 2019, with memorable performances as the festival’s Australian headliner playing to full houses every night.
Hailing from Ballarat in rural Victoria, Australia, prog-punk sensation Ebonivory creates an engaging mosaic of raw emotion, complex rhythmic devices, and prismatic melody. The world-class 5-piece ensemble employs a unique distillation of alternative rock, progressive metal, post-hardcore and modern punk, delivering a breathtaking performance that unifies musicians, melomaniacs, and casual listeners alike. Recently, they announced singing to Wild Things Presents for Management.
Formed in the wake of Hamilton's rising tide of modern metal and hardcore, Seas Of Conflict started making waves in the New Zealand underground community in 2011; quickly proving that these impressionable, fresh minds were a creative force that commanded attention. Their high energy live shows started attracting attention, leading them to support metal and hardcore heavyweights Thy Art Is Murder, Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Deez Nuts, and Ocean Grove in New Zealand.
