Calm Before - Album Launch

Calm Before launch their debut album Glaciers later this month with a release party at Ding Dong Lounge.

Lead singer guitarist Jay describes the album as ‘something else’.

‘The aesthetic is weird and slightly sinister, a little tongue and cheek but also intensely emotional. There’s definitely a lot of real talk in this album.’

The four piece alt rock group based in Auckland have been working on Glaciers for almost four years. Despite crashing Pro-tools multiple times (due to the numerous layers within the songs) they worked heavily with Producer Shamir Rodriguez and the result is a mix of intricate melodies and emotional lyrics, laced with psychedelic flourishes including debut single Cheap Cologne.

Guest performances supporting Calm Before include Auckland based band, Bhios. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are $10.
