The Incubator

Sam Loveridge is a folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Auckland, New Zealand. His sound focuses heavily on dynamics, from subtle solo finger picked acoustic guitar to full band explosions awash with drums, 70’s inspired keyboard sounds, electric guitar and banjo. Sam’s songwriting is cathartic, philosophical and political taking aim at the technological disconnect, greed and loneliness.

Sam’s debut album Clarity has been many years in the making. Sam has honed his chops and played with many local bands in Auckland including Mice on Stilts, Callum Gentleman, Gitbox. Sam plies his trade on anything with strings, having guested in numerous other bands on fiddle, mandolin and guitar, these include Miss Peach and the Travelling Bones, Fables, Albi and the Wolves and Bernie Griffin and the Thin Men.

Bonnie Strides – built on angelic harmonies, Bonnie Strides brings contemplative stories from the far shores of England and the closer shores of Bethells. A fairly functional family of musicians who build their sounds with two lead vocals, piano and a collection of strings.

Lizzie McCollum is a composer, arrangers and collector of all the little songs lost on the b side of albums. Serena Driver may be a small but she packs a punch with her heavenly melody lines and a passion for lexicons and semantics. Finn Bellingham is a home grown Bethells born philosopher, here to serenade you with thought provoking string melodies.

Together they have grown from a 7 piece extravaganza to craft an intricate, diverse experience. From ballads to explosive banjo breakdowns, ‘Harvest and Bones’ (EP) is here to take you through traditional minded folk, Mumford & Sons inspired indie folk to something completely new.
