Blues Society Christmas Party 2019

The last HBS NZ event for 2019 is the Christmas Party in Biddy's back bar.

There will be Santa, regular raffle prize draws so don't forget to bring some small cash (gold coins), merchandise, and lots of live music. Fancy dress is optional.

HBS members are entitled to drink specials on the night but you must be able to produce your membership card - a valid membership card.

Bands wishing to perform should book through the website, use the Contact option. Just let us know who you are, which band you represent, and when you would like to perform. If you include your mobile number we'll be able to contact you if there is a conflict with, or competition for, a particular time-slot.

Remember, time slots are 15 minutes long normally (or 3 songs) but if the night is particularly busy we may have to limit band songs to two only (yes 2), shortening the time to 10 minutes. Ideally this shouldn't happen.

Prizes and awards: The winners of the songwriter's Competition will be announced (closed 29 November 2019). An award will be made to Nate Taiapa for his commitment to blues in and around the Waikato, as 13 years for hosting The Blues Room on Free FM, and his dedication with HBS re-launch in 2007.

We may have some visitors from Rotorua, Tauranga, and Auckland so please, can everyone make them feel welcome.

As always, we very much appreciate a gold coin donation. Just throw it in the hat at the door on entry, and receive a wrist stamp. If you haven't got your membership card, the door can produce another one for you.
