We will learn how to band birds and why we do it, along with the methods we use to capture and handle birds with appropriate care.
These school holiday workshops are practice-based and will suit children from age 8+ who already have an interest in the natural world. Patience is required for mist-netting - the sessions will include setting up nets and waiting for birds to fly into them.

The workshops will be postponed to the following day if there is a risk of rain - please let us know at the time of booking if you are unable to make the rain date so that we can offer your place to another child. Thank you.

Time: 9am to 12:30pm (3.5 hours).
Cost: $25 per child (Including full access to the Reserve - to be paid on the day of the workshop in our Visitors Centre)
