Come and get a better insight into the Museum's Aviation collection and enjoy the hands-on fun at our MOTAT Aviation live Day on Sunday 15 September.
There will be special displays and all sorts of aviation-themed activities on offer! There will be other live Day fun too with horse and carriage rides, poi-making and more.
Explore flying boats! MOTAT’s magnificent flying boats - the Sunderland and the Solent - are now housed together under the same roof in the museum’s Aviation Display Hall. These flying boats are rare artefacts from an era of aviation that pioneered air travel between Australia and New Zealand. Each aircraft has its own unique history, and MOTAT is delighted to share their stories with the public.
