Bridget Reweti (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi) presents a series of hand-coloured photographs taken of the Matterhorn around Zermatt, Switzerland. Whilst Aotearoa’s own Titirea/Mt Aspiring is colloquially referred to at the Matterhorn of the South, this series of photographs playfully examines such antipodean narratives.

Taken on a half-frame camera with 35mm film, the work focuses on the Matterhorn through staged stereoscopic views. Alongside this series are works in development from Bridget’s recent Wild Creations residency supported by the Department of Conservation and Creative New Zealand.

Exhibition runs from 2 April to 19 May.
