An Iliad, performed by acclaimed actor Michael Hurst as the poet, and Shayne P. Carter as the musician, is not the Homer of classics classes.

American playwrights Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare have transformed the epic poem into an urgent, intimate must-see show with a contemporary twist.

Part play, part gig, An Iliad reveals Hurst at the height of his dramatic powers accompanied by a live score written and delivered by Carter, of Dimmer and Straitjacket Fits fame.

Expect to be mesmerised by the classic story of Achilles and the Trojan War directed by Jonathon Hendry and brought fighting and roaring to life by Hurst.
