The Alps, with seemingly endless crags and harsh seasons, define the populations they run along side. Over centuries, humans have learned to harness the elevation, the vivid sunshine of Summer and the biting cold of Winter.
This adaptability has made many of the Alpine regions in Europe fiercely independent and, fortunately for us, has seen to the preservation of otherwise long forgotten grape varietals.
On June 10th, we will be tasting a line up of wines hailing from regions across the Alps made from grapes such as Savagnin, Jaquere, Schiava, Petite Arvine and Fumin.
Because these wines are neither made or distributed in large quantity, this will be a single bottle tasting so seats are limited.
