Rotorua Museum

With several crafts having funky revivals recently, the team from Rotorua Museum has been running a series of Craft Café Revival classes to introduce these vintage crafts to new generations.

Join us for the last in this years’ series, located at Te Rūnanga Teahouse, where you can enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles as you learn simple knitting in this class.

This is a beginner session where you will be taught the basics of knitting and different stitches and start making your own knitted cotton facecloth or head wrap to take home.

Check out some of the vintage knitting examples and tools on display from the Rotorua Museum collection.

Tickets are $15 and include a drink (wine or orange juice), light nibbles, all equipment to complete the craft and craft instructions. Spaces are limited and can be booked in advance via Eventfinda.

Big thanks to Skeinz.com - The Natural Yarn Store - who generously provided the wool for the crochet and knitting Craft Revival Café classes.
